Saguaro Hotel - Palm Springs

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Saguaro Hotel in Palm Springs: “An Oasis of Desert Modern”. The Saguaro Palm Springs, a Joie de Vivre Hotel, has a vibrant colour palette. The 12 colours adorn each balcony and guestroom. The outside spaces are as vibrant as the inside spaces.

“The Sydell Group acquired the hotel in mid-2011 with a plan to fully renovate the property into a resort celebrating the natural desert surroundings of Palm Springs. Architects Peter Stamberg and Paul Aferiat were brought in to infuse local color into the property. The team, known for their bold use of color, advocated recreating The Saguaro around a palette of 12 vibrant tones found in native desert wildflowers. Sydell wanted the hotel to possess the friendly hospitality for which Joie de Vivre is famous and accordingly tapped the company to oversee the property’s operations.”

The Guestrooms are roomy and include sitting areas, a desk, as well as luxury bath products. We loved the beds and the linens are a great indulgence. The gardens and grounds were renovated in February of this year. The pool area has some appreciated amenities of its own. They include: outdoor, heated Olympic size pool, cabanas, fire pit, hot tubs and poolside bar and food service. They also offer daily yoga sessions by the pool. The Saguaro is also pet friendly. If that wasn’t enough, they also have two restaurants: Tinto and El Jefe. An on-site spa and fitness centre round out this hotels wonderful array of services.

We spend time in Palm Springs for the architecture, design and beauty and The Saguaro encompasses all of that. We hope the next time you are in Palm Springs you will have a chance to experience this great hotel.
