From the moment Myrlene saw pictures of Tim Antoniuk's beautiful furniture she knew it would be a great fit here at Urban Mode. Tim launched his company Question Objects in 2007. Tim is a professor of Furniture Design at the University of Alberta, and the previous co-owner/founder of the Hothouse Group of Companies. Myrlene has always been a firm believer in carrying great Canadian made products at Urban Mode. Every piece of furniture that is produced by Question Objects is 100% made in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with sustainably sourced and produced methods. "The functional and stylish pieces offer good quality and affordable designs and allow us to support our industries because the collections are designed and manufactured in Canada." - Myrlene
We launched Question Objects in April and have had great response to it. We think one of the best reasons is the attention to the details, from the curved edges of the drawers to the elegant papering inside to the beautiful hardware. Question Objects features 3 collections: Arctic Shoreline, Landscape and Leaf, all were inspired by the stark beauty of Canada's wilderness. Tim uses a highly environmentally sustainable oil/wax finish (which is imported from England) that is far more durable than lacquered finishes (which ‘sit on’ the surface of wood).
We hope you have an opportunity to come into our showroom and see Tim's work in person or visit our new website at urbanmode.com.
