ICFF, WantedDesign and Bobby Berk - Part 1

Our trip to New York was short but we packed a lot in it. Our reasons for going was to go to WantedDesign, ICFF and to go to Bobby Berk's party. As some of you know, we carry Bobby Berk's modern furniture collection in our store. Bobby's party was held at his Soho store and was co-hosted by Surya and Jaime Derringer of Design Milk.

Our first stop was the party at Bobby Berk. We had a blast chatting with other people in the design world that we knew and just catching up. Bobby introduced us to Jaime who's blog Design Milk is one of our favourite design blogs. We also met Genevieve Gorder who is one of HGTV's stars. Both of whom have a great sense of humour as you can see from the picture below.

Does anyone know what Bobby is saying in this pic? lol

We had a great time at Bobby's party. If you are ever in New York, we recommend that you stop by his store on Crosby street. It has a great mix of East Coast and West Coast vibes.

Thanks Bobby, we had a great time!

On Sunday morning we were off to WantedDesign NYC held at the Tunnel. This is our 2nd year of going to Wanted and we were not disappointed. WantedDesign lets you meet the designers and manufacturers of the products and designs that are showcased there. It is also a great opportunity for design students to get a chance to show their pieces and get some feedback from designers, retailers and the public. Wanted is a hands on experience that you just don't get with other shows. As you can see by the pictures below, there was a wealth of talent at this years show.
