Nexterra Green Home - Toronto

Yesterday, Myrlene and I went to have a tour of the Nexterra Green Home in north Toronto. This modern Prefab home is stunning. We absolutely love this home. Our line of furniture from Blu Dot, combined with the modern furniture that Gus Modern is known for, is such a great fit for this style of home.  Some of our furniture from Blu Dot includes the Nook Bed, the Buttercup Rocker and the Drift bedroom series.  The furniture in the children’s bedrooms is from Ella & Elliot and is so bright and fun. The gorgeous lighting is from Eurolite and the beautiful accessories are from Bev Hisey‘s ever growing hand-made collection.  The carpets are from Elte and the linens from Dwell Studio.  The artwork is provided by the AGO.

The Nexterra Green Home consists of 6 modules that make up over 3,000 square feet. There is a large deck off of the first floor and a green rooftop garden on the top level. The house sits next to a ravine connected to an extensive green space that is made up of Earl Bales Park, Burnett Park and York Cemetery. The master suite, as you will see in the pictures below, is a soothing retreat and has a spa like master bath adjoined. There will be 3 other Prefab homes built on this large property as well.

“With an emphasis on architecturally significant, modern, compact and finely finished interiors, combined with modular construction systems, as well as obsessive attention to the very best available in green materials and practices, Nexterra Green Homes intends to be at the forefront of a rapidly evolving green housing initiative.”  To read more on their green initiatives, please go to www.nexterra.com.
